In reply to Chary Izquierdo. I am on the search for the name of a set that says the same thing, “Stainless Steel Japan”. I found two posts about “Starburst Silverware, Star Sapphire Japan” that ALMOST looks identical to what my friend has and I need the name for. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that it is very hard to find the starburst pattern with a long, straight, and skinny handle with a rounded bottom to the handle. No extra things on handle except for 4 “starbursts”. So frustrating! Haha

I have never read a Kitchen Klatter magazine but in my genealogy research learned of a connection with the family. The previous wife of Martin Driftmeier, Rosie, is in my family tree. During my research I learned of Lucille’s book and managed to get my hands on a copy. It was wonderful to know what a great mother Leanna was to Martin’s two children as well as to her own children. She was always so kind to include Rosie’s parents in family gatherings.

In reply to Vicki Tammen Brown. Hi, Vicki. Thanks for your comment. Interestingly enough, my mother tells me that we also lived near Wynn in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have no memory of this because I was little, but I found that fact fascinating. Where did you live by her?

I grew up a block from Wynn and played with her daughter, Gretchen, all the time. I vividly remember her broadcasting from her living room and we trying to be so quiet!
